Privacy Policy

Please read the information below carefully.

Short answer: u88my.com collects almost nothing. We hold no player accounts, no identity documents, no bank or card details and no betting history, because we are a publisher and not a cashier. What we do hold is whatever you type into the contact form, aggregate analytics at page level, and short-lived server logs.

The short version

u88my.com is an information site. We publish guides and reviews. We are not an operator and we are not a cashier, so the sensitive things you might expect a gambling-related site to hold, we simply never touch. This page sets out what we do collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

Things you type in. If you use our contact form or subscribe to the newsletter, we receive whatever you enter: usually a name or nickname, an email address, and the message itself. Nothing on this site requires you to register to read it.

Technical data. Our servers log your IP address, browser and operating system, the page you requested and the time you requested it. This is standard web server behaviour and is what lets us spot outages and block abuse.

Analytics data. Aggregated page views, how you arrived, roughly where in the country you are, and how long you stayed. This is measured at page level to tell us which guides earn their keep. Our cookie policy explains the files involved.

What we never collect

This part matters, so it is worth being blunt. We do not collect gaming account usernames or passwords. We do not collect card numbers, bank login details, or your Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, Public Bank, DuitNow or Touch ‘n Go credentials. We do not process deposits or withdrawals in MYR or in USDT, and we cannot see your balance, your bets or your transaction history. If any page, email or message claiming to be from us asks for those details, it is not us. Deposits and identity checks always happen on the operator’s own platform, never here.

Why we process what we do

We answer your enquiries because you asked us something. We send the newsletter because you opted in, and you can opt out from the link in every issue. We keep server logs because a site without them cannot be secured or debugged. We run analytics because we have a legitimate interest in knowing whether our work is any good. Where consent is the basis, you are free to withdraw it, and withdrawing it does not undo processing that already happened lawfully.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up, then deleted. Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe or the list is pruned for inactivity. Raw server logs rotate on a short cycle, typically weeks rather than years. Analytics are held in aggregate form for reporting and cannot be traced back to a named person.

Who else sees it

Three groups, and no more. Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its logs. Our analytics provider, which processes usage data on our instructions. Email delivery services used to send newsletters and replies. We do not sell personal data, we do not rent mailing lists, and we do not pass your details to operators or to advertisers. If a court order or a lawful request compelled disclosure, we would comply, and that is the only other route out.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, administrative access uses strong unique credentials with additional verification, software is patched on a routine schedule, and access to any stored enquiry is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. The practical protection is that we hold very little worth stealing.

Your rights

  • Access. Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you.
  • Correction. If an email address or a name is wrong, we will fix it.
  • Deletion. Ask us to erase your enquiry or subscription and we will, unless a legal obligation says otherwise.
  • Opt out. Unsubscribe from any newsletter, and use your browser settings to block analytics and affiliate cookies.
  • Objection. Tell us you disagree with a processing purpose and we will review it rather than defend it reflexively.

Age restriction

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted details to us, contact us and we will remove the record. If gambling has stopped being entertainment, our responsible gaming page lists practical steps, and Gamblers Anonymous offers peer support.

Making a request

Use the contact form on this site and put the word Privacy in the subject line. Tell us plainly what you want done. We may ask one or two questions to confirm the request came from the right person, and we deliberately keep that verification light because we hold so little to begin with. Requests are handled in the order received. Related pages: terms and conditions and AML and KYC guidance.
