Free Credit Glossary: The 30 Words That Decide Whether Bonus Money Withdraws
This glossary defines 30 words that appear in Malaysian free credit and bonus terms. Each entry says what the word means, what it costs in ringgit where U88 publishes a figure (the 12x, 25x and 8x tiers, the RM30 minimum deposit, the RM10,000 slots cap), and the Malay term our Bahasa pages use. What do winover, turnover and the other bonus words actually mean?
Malaysian promotion pages use these words loosely and the terms pages use them precisely, which is where most of the confusion starts. The entries below are in the order a reader meets them: what the credit is, what it costs to clear, what caps the payout, and what the cashier and verification rules add on top. Where a Bahasa Malaysia page on this site uses a different word, it is shown in brackets.
Every U88 figure quoted here is the one published on the operator promotion or cashier terms and already used elsewhere on this site. Where U88 publishes no figure, the entry says so instead of guessing.
Free credit (kredit percuma)
Promotional balance an operator releases into a player account under conditions. In Malaysia the phrase is used for deposit matches, small standalone balances and referral rewards alike, so the word free tells you nothing about the price. U88 publishes no no-deposit free credit; every U88 offer on this site is a deposit match.
Link free credit
A search phrase rather than an offer. The player already heard about the credit in a chat group and is looking for the entry point. Such links usually land on a registration form with a deposit-matched bonus behind it. This site distributes no claim links.
No-deposit bonus (kredit tanpa deposit)
A balance credited before any money is deposited. Genuine ones are small, carry a heavy multiple and a low withdrawal ceiling, and are rare in the Malaysian market. U88 does not publish one.
Deposit match (padanan deposit)
A bonus equal to a percentage of your deposit, up to a ceiling. U88 publishes three, one per product: Sports and Slots at 100% to RM800, Live Casino at 50% to RM300, and 918Kiss at 150% to RM300.
Welcome bonus (bonus alu-aluan)
The deposit match attached to a first deposit. At U88 it comes in three product tiers rather than one, each with its own condition: 12x, 25x and 8x. Which tier applies depends on the product you deposit for, not on the size of the deposit.
Wagering requirement (syarat pertaruhan)
Everything you have to stake, added up, before money tied to a bonus is allowed out. Work it out as base times multiple; it is the one clause that puts a ringgit price on the whole offer.
Wagering multiple (gandaan pertaruhan)
The number in front of the x. U88 publishes 12x for Sports and Slots, 25x for Live Casino and 8x for 918Kiss. On its own the multiple prices nothing; the base decides the ringgit figure.
Wagering base (asas kiraan)
What the multiple is applied to. U88 states that the base is deposit plus bonus and publishes the example [RM100 + RM100] x 25 = RM5,000. A base of bonus only would halve that figure, which is why this one line matters more than the headline percentage.
Turnover
Total stake placed, win or lose, counted towards a requirement. U88 uses the word on its Sports and Slots and Live Casino tiers. Excluded bets add nothing to it.
Rollover
Another word for turnover, common on Malaysian promotion pages. Treat it as the same clause and check what base it applies to before comparing offers.
Winover
The word U88 uses on its 918Kiss tier at 8x. U88 publishes the label and the multiple but no definition, so whether winover counts stake or a balance target is an open question this site records rather than guesses. Read on the published base of deposit plus bonus, RM200 plus RM300 at 8x comes to RM4,000.
Bonus ceiling (had bonus)
The most bonus an offer will pay: RM800 on U88 Sports and Slots, RM300 on Live Casino and RM300 on 918Kiss. Depositing beyond the amount that reaches the ceiling raises your requirement without raising your bonus.
Maximum withdrawal (had pengeluaran)
The cap on what bonus play can pay out. U88 caps withdrawals from bonus play on slots at RM10,000, and caps all withdrawals at RM50,000 per transaction and RM50,000 per day, with at most three withdrawals a day.
Bonus expiry (tempoh sah)
The window in which the requirement must be finished. U88 welcome bonus validity is 30 days. A requirement you cannot reach inside the window is a forfeiture, not a requirement; divide the total stake by 30 to see the daily commitment.
Excluded bets (pertaruhan dikecualikan)
Stakes that look like turnover but are not counted. At U88: draws, void or cancelled bets, bets placed on both sides of one market, and any selection priced below Malay 0.50, which is Indonesian -2.00.
Odds floor
The lowest price at which a bet still counts towards turnover. U88 sets it at Malay 0.50. Backing heavy favourites below that line clears nothing, which closes off the most common shortcut.
Game contribution
The share of a stake on a given game that counts towards the requirement. Some operators count table games at less than 100%. Where no contribution table is published, assume only the tier product counts and ask support in writing before you opt in.
Minimum deposit (deposit minimum)
The smallest deposit the cashier accepts: RM30 at U88, which is why a RM20 deposit cannot claim any tier. USDT deposits start at 100 USDT on TRC-20.
Minimum withdrawal (pengeluaran minimum)
The smallest payout the cashier will process: RM50 at U88. The receiving bank account must be in the registered player’s own name, and that name match, not the document check, is what usually stalls a first payout.
Daily rebate (rebat harian)
A percentage of stake returned as cash. U88 Unlimited Daily Cash Rebate runs from 0.20% to 1.00% by product and VIP tier, pays once a day from RM1, is withdrawable from RM50 with no turnover attached, and excludes 918Kiss.
Weekly rescue bonus (bonus penyelamat mingguan)
A cashback on net losses. U88 publishes 5% of net losses from RM10,000, at 5x turnover, once a week, capped by tier from RM88 to RM8,888.
VIP tier
A status level that sets your rebate rate and your rescue cap. U88 runs six: Normal, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. The 1.00% rebate headline is slots at Diamond.
Stake per RM1 of bonus
The comparison figure this site uses: base multiplied by multiple, divided by the bonus received. On the U88 tiers it comes to RM13.33 for 918Kiss, RM24.00 for Sports and Slots and RM75.00 for Live Casino, which is how a 150% offer and a 50% offer can be compared on one line.
Red flag (tanda amaran)
A missing number. An offer that never states its multiple, its base or its maximum withdrawal has not been priced, and an unpriced offer cannot be compared with anything. Our checklist runs to ten of these and is applied to U88 as well.
Opt-in
The step where you select a promotion, usually at the deposit stage. U88 cannot apply a bonus after the deposit is confirmed, so choose the tier before you pay, or deposit without one on purpose.
KYC
Know Your Customer: the identity check that precedes a withdrawal. U88 states that KYC needs your IC only. Register in the exact name printed on that IC, because the payout goes only to a bank account in the same name.
Third-party withdrawal (pengeluaran pihak ketiga)
A payout to a bank account in someone else’s name. U88 refuses them outright, so a spouse or friend account will not clear however complete the verification is.
Bonus abuse
Operator shorthand for patterns that clear a requirement without real risk: betting both sides of a market, grinding low-odds favourites, running several accounts. Such stakes are excluded from turnover, and most published terms allow the bonus and its winnings to be voided when the pattern is found.
Self-exclusion
